The DC film critics offered some interesting insight as to where the race could be heading. I’m not entirely convinced that The Tree of Life can sneak in here, but it’s definitely a possibility. The Artist, Hugo, and War Horse remain the frontrunners, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part II getting its signature nod in the category. Unlike other categories, this one seems to be pretty ingrained at the moment. Even Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy seems like a sure thing.

Not much to bite into at this point: Hugo and The Artist seem like the best bets here, though I wonder if a superhero movie like Captain America (or even X-Men:First Class) could do. And Anonymous definitely strikes me as something that can make it onto the field.
